On-Site Acoustic Testing

Acoustic testing on site to measure how walls, floors, plant and finished buildings actually perform, with clear reporting against the relevant criteria.

Measuring Real-World Acoustic Performance

Laboratory ratings and design calculations are only part of the story. Each building responds differently, and a system can achieve less isolation on site than its laboratory results suggest. On-site testing shows how a building actually performs and whether it meets the required criteria.

What We Test

We are equipped to test airborne and impact sound transmission between dwellings to Australian and International Standards. We test dividing walls and floors on completion of construction, hard floors before and after installation, noise from air conditioners and pool pumps, and aircraft and traffic noise inside homes after construction.

Testing Before You Commit

Where possible, we suggest testing a sample of a proposed floor system on site before it is installed throughout a building. This confirms the performance that will be achieved in that specific building and avoids costly problems later.

Every test is followed by clear reporting against the relevant criteria. Where results comply, we can certify them. Where they do not, we can design practical noise controls for your builder or contractor to construct.
